Below Grade Waterproofing
Below grade masonry can be effectively waterproofed using the BarrierGuard System. This system provides a low cost and permanent mechanical seal against water ingress from hydrostatic pressure. Care should be taken to include waterproofing over the footing to assure wall and footing sealing. The BarrierGuard System should cover the underground surface and several inches above grade. BarrierGuard System should be applied from the outside. However, in some cases inside waterproofing is acceptable.
